DESCRIPTION:Open the attached flyer. \nPRESS RELEASE \nSeptember 12\, 2026 \nFor immediate release \nNewport\, WA \nNEWPORT\, WA — September 12\, 2026 — The CREATE Arts Center and Responsible Growth * NE Washington are proud to host distinguished speaker\, consultant\, and civic leader Dr. Lunell Haught for a special public presentation on “The 12 Indicators of Democracy”  Sunday\, October 11\, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the CREATE Arts Center\, located at 900 West 4th Street\, Newport\, WA 99156. \nDr. Haught holds a Ph.D. and teaches within Gonzaga University’s prestigious Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Leadership. She is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and owner of Haught Strategies\, and has contributed extensively to the fields of leadership\, conflicts resolution\, organizational governance\, and civic transparency.  \nDeeply invested in public service and community stewardship\, Dr. Haught is presently  affiliated with the Washington Coalition for Open Government\, past President of the League of Women Voters of Washington\, former Chair of the Spokane County Park Advisory Board\, and the founder of the Inland Northwest Trails Coalition. \nAccording to Dr. Haught\, “the health of our democratic institutions depends on our collective understanding of the frameworks that support them. Through ‘The 12 Indicators of Democracy\,’ we will examine the actionable metrics and values that ensure transparency\, accountability\, and resilient collaboration within our communities.” \nCommunity members\, local business leaders\, nonprofit organizers\, and anyone interested in effective leadership and organizational collaboration are encouraged to attend this inspiring community event on Sunday\, October 11\, 2026.  \nThis event is open and free to the public with donations accepted at the door.
