Join The Idaho Mythweaver on October 20 at the Sandpoint Library for their first film as part of the Native Heritage Film Series. “United by Water” that documents the 2016 river journey of member tribes of the Upper Columbia United Tribes — Kootenai, Kalispel, Coeur d’Alene, Spokane, Colville Confederated Tribes — to their traditional gathering site at Kettle Falls, once the second largest salmon fishery in the Northwest. The tribes paddled traditional, hand-carved old growth cedar dugout canoes. Tribal paddlers will be on hand to lead the post screening discussion.
