Responsible Growth * NE Washington is opposed to HiTest Sands Inc. proposed Newport Silicon Metals Facilities. This opposition is based on a litany of factors and not the least being its absolute incompatibility with the Pend Oreille County Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2005 and updated in 2015.

Responsible Growth * NE Washington supports smart economic growth that enhances and protects our natural environment, our clean air and water, and our rural lifestyle.

Responsible Growth * NE Washington is taking the lead in the network of local Arts & Humanity organizations and individuals to cultivate, promote, sustain and support the Arts & Humanities in Pend Oreille County and surrounding area.

Responsible Growth * NE Washington has a responsibility to focus on who is making the decisions that lead to irresponsible economic growth – growth that puts our environment, communities, families and health at risk.

Responsible Growth * NE Washington, as a nonprofit organization does not identify with any specific political party, nor do we support or endorse any candidate. We do, however, actively promote what it means to be a citizen of our community to the extent to which we are engaged in what’s happening around us.
